Robyn said...: The thing I noticed more than anything was how short everyone must have been back then. And then, it always seemed to me that the preservationist hadn't done a very good job of keeping it "secluded" for lack of a better word. You don't want to say sacred, because it wasn't a sacred place or event, yet the lack of even some "profoundness" surprised me. You know what I mean - like when you go to the WWII memorial, there is that feeling of awe. Is it just because it is large?; 7:20 AM

S'mee said...: Robyn and Lisa,thank you. It seems we are very tall and bulky compared to a couple of years ago! I was also amazed at the location of the grounds. I presumed it would be out of town in a field...not so. X marks the spot and the spot is the center of the city!; 10:31 AM
