Thor and I went away for a conference and the place we stayed was really quite lovely. Set on a bay, surrounded by a state park, and snuggled up against a rookery, I couldn't have asked for more.
The whole place was covered with lush beautiful plants and blooming flowers. Some of the flowers looked to me as if they were tiny little dresses, just hanging in a faery closet ready to wear. Adorable tutus and ball gowns for the under two inch set.

I love it when you put up picture pots. I want to give Ora a dress just like that flower!
It looks like you've been watching the new tinkerbell movie! Same thought processes going on. Neat pictures!
Thanks Pea! It's all I saw when I was walking around...tons of tiny little dresses!
Robyn, I don't know about the movie, but it made me want to make some amazing costumes for Lil Bit! (Oh and between you and me and the gatepost... The RN is having migraines!!!! Normally that would be a bad thing, but in my neck of the woods it's an indicator of a baby girl! Nothing for sure yet, but hey, let's hear it for old wives!)
It is cold and rainy/snowy/sleety/hailish here, and the colors and vibrancy are delightful.
I love it for old wives.
Ah Lisa, it rained pretty good about 12 hours after these photos were taken! And yeah! Old Wives!
Any idea what these flowers are called? They look just like little fairies to me... great photos.
Kathy, I can identify tumble weed, dandelion, sunflowers and alysum. After that I pretty much done. Oh and roses, I can do roses. But yeah, when I saw these they just looked like tiny little dresses!
