WIP

The blogging has slowed lately due to my being at my daughter's place and having a bit of fun. She called the other day and invited me up for a long weekend (Wednesday through "when we get done.")

First on the agenda was just hanging out, visiting, and meeting new friends. After I settled in we went "shopping" at D.I. for some things for her house. She and two roommates found a small two bedroom house near campus and now they want to decorate. We also went in search of inexpensive fabric to make a slip cover for her couch and some for new curtains. Today we are painting canvas for art on the walls.

She also has her best friend here visiting prior to leaving for her mission to Switzerland. This friend is a very talented artist and is copying a particularly interesting painting from one of #5's favourite artists, very modern, very intricate, and frankly, I'm glad she took the assignment! I chose to do two other paintins for her, and as I said, she has distinct taste and wanted specific things, so we came close. I will post before and after photos when we are done. For now, we are still painting, and soon sewing, a lot!

Have a great weekend everyone.

See, I was hoping you would come to my place, and then feel so sorry for it's deplorable condition that you would spend YOUR money to fix it

lisa, I miss YOU! Holy Cannoli! I wish I could go up yonder a bit more, however things here are going slower than I expected and I think I need to chain myself to the sewing machine for a few more days! Thanks for popping by!
