Weather or not I like it...

So here it goes. Thor had to spend the night with his folks, he and his brother were both stuck behind a road closure. (read: any freeway that connects lower SoCAL to upper SoCAL is CLOSED!) But he got to spend some good visiting time with the parental units, so it's all good!

Here, the scenery is all white and sparkly, glittering and misty snow covered everything. The cars and trucks have begun to speed by on the highway across the street and I am waiting to hear some of them play bumper cars soon. Ahhh stupidity! But Dude! They look "cool" as they fly by kicking up snow dust! There is a slight breeze that keeps blowing the top flakes off the fence tips, which is like tiny faeries flying across the fields. Pretty. And for the first time ever we have icicles dripping of our roof, who knew it was possible?

My hair appointment was canceled this morning (her hubby also stuck behind a closure), so when you see me underneath the mistletoe this year, I'll be the one who looks like the abominable snowman.

Final snow count at S'mee's house? Just under 7 inches at 5:30 this morning.

Don't cha love it?? To be honest, I do, but I'm from Utah. If it's going to be winter, It might as well be beautiful..

Good luck with all the crazies on the road. Be careful.

Have a good one~!

Pea, oh my heck, the folks across the street tied a piece of plastic to the bumper of their jeep with a rope. The kid hopped on and dad drove off across a field. Yup, FUN!

Mel, I have to admit it is beautiful!

The icicles are tripping me out! I love them Kristy!

Boy Mom, THAT is hilarious!

We are also snowed in, and I just found out school is canceled AGAIN for tomorrow. My kids' Christmas vacation began last weekend and we didn't know it until today. I don't love the snow, and especially not the cold. I have left my house once this week! But I am going nuts and I'm determined to go somewhere and DO SOMETHING... anything!... tomorrow.

Forecast calls for more snow... and cold, of course.

Yikes Susie! Kind of rough for Santa and his elves to work with little ones home form school...I'll pop whatever sun I can find in the mail for you right away!

Oh my! I didn't realize you were also getting thus weather! Have a cup of cheer. I did, or rather I sipped the half cup of cocoa my kiddo left on the table.

Seriously though, at times like this, aren't you so glad you're stocked up on essentials?

Rynell you hit the nail on the head! This cenario is very similar to that of an earthquake in our area because we are literally cut off from the rest of the civilized world! Thor is about an hour away and I am alone, woman in the desert! If only that were alone with dessert!

Hi s'mee We are in the process of getting 10 inches ourselves. It's beautiful out there. The ice storm we had kept us without power for 6 days With temps going as low as the single digits we were forced to leave our home so currently sleeping with one eye open and a nightlight just in case it goes off again.

Oh Hobbit I can't (seriously I can't!) imagine what that would be like. I know I am barking up the wrong tree, but this little 7 inches is making my nuts! I don't know how you people do it day after day for months on end!

That's it! I'm sending you people some sun!
