Isn't it gorgeous? I can't get enough of these photos. Every time I see them I go right back to that beautiful cove, Laupahoehoe Point on the big island. I see my daughters, plumeria over their ears, standing on the black volcanic rock that guards the shore. I can smell the salt in the air, I can feel the coolness of the day. I can hear the sounds of the crashing waves and the chatter of my girls as they explore and exclaim their excitement and gratitude for being there. It was the perfect moment.

I had to stash this on momentile. It's so beautiful! I showed Alan and he said we have to visit someday.
It is good you still find it momentous. So many people travel there so often they don't realize what an opportunity it is to get to go somewhere so beautiful. Especially with family. Thanks for sharing, it is gorgeous!
Stop it! You're making me want to go to Hawaii.
I did the, Make something for someone over the next year tag, on my blog. I don't recall having to post it yourself as a criteria when you did it on your blog. But, since you've already done it hurry over and leave me a comment and you're in. But just so you know it intimidates me to make anything for you, you're so talented.
Thanks everyone!
#1 I would love for you to go there. The water is really that turquoise! There is a small park/grassy area there as well for the little one to play at, eat a picnic, and just drink in this place where God *must* have taken an extra moment to create.
Robyn, you are right. I am still amazed that I got to stand there with my girls. My only regret is that the boys and their families were not there.
Boy Mom, I in!
Thanks for the comments. Sounds like my sis is intimidated,(hee hee) But, seein' as how I have no clue who you are I refuse to be intimidated. Know this, though, I am not crafty or....uh great in the kitchen, so expect unique and I'll get it to you through my sis.
Cowboy Mom, you're awesome...unique is FABULOUS! -just don't send me a (live)cow. I think my farm hand days are behind me, and the poor thing would just be miserable!
Gorgeous!!
