Oy! This month has been so unbelievably busy. Case in point: today.
Those would be my lovely digits covered in cake goo ala cake pops! Granted, our first try out was less than stellar, but the 70+ pops we made for a leadership meeting this week turned out cute enough!
After the pops were wrapped and readied to go, I headed home to bake a few cakes for the Trunk or Treat cake walk tonight. They are only a single layer, but I made a dozen of them! Yummy home made cakes with yummy add ins (like always!) and homemade buttercream frosting to make them look like mummies, Jack Skelington, and spider webs. Again, not as ornate as if I were charging for them, but tasty and fast and they'll make do for little monsters who will just be goblin' them down tomorrow anyway!

Totally cute!!!! I love the panned cakes and their decos! You are amazing girlie!
Yummy, I want one! How much fun.
I am totally impressed. When are you finding time to do all this??I'm a workaholic and you got me beat. You should be proud job well done as usual.
Robyn, oy, last week the sound went out for help with the trunk or treat and they needed a gazillion cakes, hot dogs/buns, and people to work booths. I took the easy route! The gal in charge of the cake walk made the suggestion for the single layers in the tins, saying you could get three small cakes out of one recipe...so I signed up for a dozen. Then they needed something like 400 hotdogs (eek!talk about a scary meal!) and I saw all these people siging up for two packs of this and that. Costco had 50 for $7, si I signed up for 50 and (of course) 48(!)buns. : )
Bri...your famous recipe for buttercream!
Hobbit, You know how something heavy just seems to keep rolling uncontrollably down hill? Um yeah, kind of like that! I plan on collapsing in a week or two!
You never cease to amaze me with what you are able to do or even get done!
Pea, it's easy once you learn to live like a chicken with it's head off. You should see my house. Holy Hannah.
Head or no head you are my favorite chick!!!
S'mee- I need some of your gumption. Could you bottle it up and sell me some?
I got an email from E's teacher telling me they were having a costume party tomorrow (got it today) and I just cringed. I have not planned on doing anything.
Instantly I thought, I should call her, she would have some kind of fantastic idea for me.
Just not feeling up to much, lately.
BUT, never fear. I decided, church clothes and a missionary tag.
No huge sensory input overload.
CUTE cakes.
Thank you for being you. You are inspiring.
Awesome Lisa! Sounds like a great idea! Hope you guys have a great time at the par-tay!
